Please read these policies carefully before publishing or submitting any work to Storryca.
Thank you for choosing Storryca. We are committed to building a professional publishing platform where talented writers can grow their careers, reach readers worldwide, and earn from their creativity.
All novels published by official Storryca Authors are subject to the terms of their Exclusive Publishing Contract.
Authors under an exclusive agreement are not permitted to:
Any violation of the applicable exclusive publishing agreement may result in termination of the author's contract and any other remedies permitted under the agreement.
Authors may have opportunities to sell or license the film, television, or other adaptation rights to their novels, subject to the terms of their agreement with Storryca.
All movie studios, production companies, publishers, or script buyers interested in acquiring adaptation rights to a novel published under an exclusive Storryca agreement should contact Storryca Management directly.
All inquiries should be sent to support@storryca.com.
Where Storryca is authorized to act as the licensing representative, the parties will negotiate the applicable licensing agreement.
Once the licensing agreement is completed and payment is received, 100% of the agreed licensing payment will be transferred to the original author, subject to the applicable agreement and any legally required deductions.
Storryca acts as the official licensing representative for novels where such representation has been granted under the author's agreement.
Storryca offers two primary publishing opportunities.
Option A
Writers may apply to become official Storryca Authors. Approved authors receive a publishing account that allows them to publish novels under their own name, subject to Storryca's policies and their author agreement.
Benefits may include:
Option B
Writers who do not wish to become official Storryca Authors may submit a completed manuscript for possible purchase by Storryca. Manuscripts should be submitted to support@storryca.com.
Requirements:
Incomplete manuscripts will not be accepted. Previously published Storryca novels cannot be resubmitted for purchase.
If Storryca purchases the manuscript, the manuscript may be published under an anonymous, pen-name, or company-managed account. This arrangement is governed by a separate Manuscript Purchase Agreement and may involve a complete transfer of copyright and intellectual property rights.
Submitting or selling a manuscript to Storryca does not guarantee acceptance or purchase. Every submitted manuscript may be reviewed by the Storryca Editorial Team.
Editors may evaluate:
A manuscript may be rejected even if the writer has spent months or years working on it. Editorial decisions regarding manuscript acceptance are final, subject to any rights expressly provided in a separate agreement.
Official Storryca Authors are evaluated based primarily on reader and platform performance rather than personal preferences.
Factors may include:
Authors who consistently satisfy readers and meet Storryca's standards may receive promotions, increased opportunities, or other benefits according to their agreement with Storryca.
Storryca currently offers two author categories:
Required to publish one novel per month.
Required to publish two novels per month.
Both categories receive compensation and benefits according to their individual employment or author agreement with Storryca.
Official Storryca Authors may create an additional original novel outside their regular monthly publishing assignment.
To qualify for separate submission, the novel must:
The manuscript may be submitted to support@storryca.com. It will undergo the same editorial review process as other external submissions.
If approved, Storryca may purchase and license the manuscript separately while the author continues receiving their normal monthly compensation. Approval and purchase are not guaranteed.
All novels published or licensed by Storryca become part of the Storryca publishing catalogue, subject to the applicable agreement.
Official Storryca Authors retain the copyright to their original novels. However, by signing an Exclusive Publishing Contract, the author grants Storryca an exclusive publishing license for the duration of the agreement.
During the agreement:
Ghostwriter manuscripts are governed by a separate Manuscript Purchase Agreement. Once a manuscript has been approved, purchased, and fully paid for:
These ownership terms remain effective after the manuscript has been purchased and the rights have been transferred.
Storryca values every writer and every original story.
Whether you choose to become an official Storryca Author or submit a completed manuscript for purchase, we are committed to providing a professional publishing environment and creating opportunities for stories to reach readers around the world.
By working with Storryca, authors agree to comply with applicable Storryca policies and the terms of their individual agreements.
